Gaining Client ConfidenceWhen it comes to gaining client confidence. the trick is to radiate self-confidence in yourself. After all, perception is reality and how you perceive yourself goes a long way in how others perceive you. When you have a healthy dose of self-confidence, it shows that you believe in your skills and knowledge, and trust the decisions you make. When your clients see that you know your business inside-out and have solid interpersonal skills, they are more likely to put their faith in you.

There are a few habits you can acquire that will help you gain client confidence. The more you do them, the more naturally confident you will be to yourself and others.

Be honest. Honesty is key in building client trust and loyalty. If you’re working with a seller, be realistic about the selling price of their home. Offer your true opinion and advice on home staging. If you don’t know something, say you don’t know and then look for the answer. When your intention is to help your client, your honesty will be appreciated.

Stick to your promises. Just as important as honesty, your integrity speaks volumes about you and your business. Follow through on the things you say you’re going to do and then go above and beyond your client’s expectations. They will be singing your praise to their network of friends and family!

Solve your client’s problems. Be one step ahead of your clients and get in the habit of identifying potential problems, and offering solutions. When you take care of your client’s problems, you reduce their stress and they will be grateful to you for it. The extra time and effort you give them shows that you’re working in their best interest and this will increase the confidence they have in you.
